Our minds must be CLEAR of beliefs based on bad evidence and be intellectually honest without conceding to popular opinion.

Science makes one more aware of ourselves and how we are actually parts of the Universe becoming aware of itself!

It is time for us all to be more CLEAR headed and simply wake up!

here

We are living in a time when mankind, for the first time in history, is able to connect itself with the knowledge of the entire species by our externalized brains on the information super-highway. We can now pose questions regarding the worth and purpose of human life that is rapidly awakening our amazing species. It is now a time to sift through the dross of impertinence and start asking the right questions.

Every mindset based upon false perceptions of the world we live in leads to confusion. A belief system that can never be challenged or verified leads to fear and domination. To think clearly, we need to first rid ourselves of the strangleholds of false perceptions. Then we can discover our natural bliss.

This website is not a religious site, but one based on philosophy. Religion and philosophy differ in the respect that religion relies on unquestioning faith and dogma. We promote the ancient Greek traditions of skepticism.  Competing ideas are necessary for the evolution of our knowledge of the cosmos.

This site restores the insights taught by Epicurus in the third century BC that promoted a natural philosophy based on science. They even knew the Earth went around the sun and even believed that all things were composed of "atoms and void."

Modern interpretations of Epicureanism still survive today. David Hume's "Empiricism" and Jeremy Bentham's  "Utilitarianism" are good examples.

Epicureans also have a long tradition that is deeply imbued in the fabric of American life, born out of the search for happiness and the freedom of the skeptical mind. That raw energy that embodies this philosophy is called Capitalism. It is this union of happiness and freedom of mind that has powered the greatest advances this species has ever witnessed.

Thomas Jefferson was a self-proclaimed Epicurean and his beliefs can be found in the Constitution with it's 3 tiered edifices of life, liberty and of the pursuit of happiness. Happiness is the ultimate proving grounds for the efficacy of any philosophy as much as medicine is for the relief of sickness.

Our purpose as humans is to find happiness in our lives. This can only come from calming the irrational mind and ridding the body of pain. Both mind and body need proper nourishment. The mind needs to perceive our sensations from a healthy perspective of right ideas. The body needs the right food and exercise to continue to maintain itself as the guardian of our minds and deliberations. It is our hope this website offers you a wealth of information that will assist your own quest for self actualization.

Rights thoughts, actions and lifestyle are the paths to the goals of:

Health, Wealth and Knowledge.

"The world is too much with us; late and soon, getting and spending, we lay waste our powers: little we see in Nature is ours; we have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!" - William Wordsworth

"The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding." - Leonardo da Vinci

Let's all try to live in the present moment for a change!

If we are not being interrupted by phone calls and notifications, our minds are being directed away from the present moment by either fear, which takes us to the future or by guilt, which returns us to the past.

The HERE is the only place is where you can find happiness.
